Hallo Basketballfans I'am Marek Szczepanowski - president of girl's basketball club from Gniezno/Poland, and also I'm chief of sport in district of Gniezno. In 29 July - 1 August2004 we are planning to organize an International Basketball Tournament. The tournament will have to age categories for girls and boys born in 1989 and younger and 1987 and younger, to which we warmheartedly invite. Detailed informations will be soon available. Last year participating teams came from: Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Russia, Czech Republic and of course from Poland. It`s good chance to improve their languages skills, see the world, meet new people and on that occasion check our sports abilities with other foreign teams. The seat of the club and tournament is Gniezno - a town of about 75 000 citizens located in the west of Poland. It`s a town of huge historical importance for each Pole. Here in 996, there took place the baptism of Poland and for the number of years it was the seat for rulers and our first capital. In Poland almost every young people speak english, one speaks better another one speaks worse. I`ll keep informing you about which teams will come. Already have signed these teams: SV Wolmirsleben (Germany), Luckies Luckenwalde (Germany), Sport School Maney (Russia), Croydon Flyers Basketball Club (England), BC Smarde (Latvia), BK MAO Kladno (Czech Republic), Audentese (Estonia), JS Stambruges(Belgium), BC Trelleborg (Sweden), Forli Cesena (Italy) and from Poland: Olimpia Poznan, AZS Torun, Aluminium Konin and of course TS Basket Gniezno. I hope that you`ll answeror pass our information to the basketball clubs. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2004.
